I'm pretty good with my tamping and timing, but since retiring from being a barista at a small coffeehouse, I miss the espresso. After looking around I have been fairly disappointed with the junk espresso machines that are being pushed right now. What I'm looking for is an espresso maker that does not auto-tamp, has a hot waterspout, a steam wand, manual steam control (for the group head), and a hefty portafilter. Where can I find such one that is not junk?

I have two Sunbeam coffee machines with these things, and there is nothing in the manual for what they do.

I have a krups espresso F920 machine but no clue how to work it. I know that there are some download manuals, but i can't seem to find one for my particular one. If you know where I can find one for free or printable please comment!

1, if i want to make a standard double Espresso do i need to put 2 scoops of coffee into the basket. 2, i have glanced at espresso machine manuals and a lot of them appear to be manual machines ie you have to tell the machine when to stop when making my espressos is the a rough standard time that i need to memorize or will it stop automatically also when making my espresso's do i need to look for the crema as the guide as to when i should stop the machine. 3, when grinding the coffee does it have to be fine, my reason for asking is costa coffee grind theirs to a medium consistency from what they said, also if it was under or overground how would this affect the coffee

It is the Delonghi BAR42 e digital pump-driven espresso & cappuccino machine. I'm sure it's got to be on the internet somewhere, I just haven't been able to locate it.

We have a Krups espresso machine, and we have read the manual and cleaned it out with vinegar like it said, but the flavor is still not the same as it was brand new. We use it everyday, so I was wondering if there is something we could do to get the old coffee smell/flavor out of the machine?
