What is the best "grind and brew" automatic coffee maker?
I'm looking for an automatic "Grind and Brew" coffee maker with a timer. This type of coffee maker automatically grinds whole beans and brews the coffee for you based on timer settings. There are a few on the market from Cuisinart and Capresso, but not many reviews out there. Can anyone either recommend one or warn me about ones that don't work very well?
I have a Cuisinart Automatic Grind & Brew Thermal and it works quite well for me. I add the water and place the beans in the grinder and ... See More
Can I use preground beans in a grind and brew coffee maker?
I have a can of ground beans that I haven't opened and don't have any unground beans, but I would love a cup of coffee. Can I use ground beans in a Cuisenart Grind and Brew? Hmmm...I have no idea how I got into this section...I guess I wasn't paying attention...afterall I haven't had my coffee yet...sorry.
Usually, these type of machines have a button or switch that allows you to use ground coffee instead of whole beans. My mom has a similar ... See More

Cuisinart Grind & Brew Coffee Maker - Sub a Glass Carafe for the Thermal Carafe?
I bought this for a Xmas gift for my sister. At times, she will prefer a Glass Carafe for when she only makes 3 cups and wants to see whats left. You can't see whats left in the Thermal one. I don't see any reason why she can't use either. Does anyone know for sure?
She can absolutely get a glass carafe to replace the thermal one. In fact, I've linked to the replacement glass carafe. She'll need to ... See More
Krups Grind and Brew KM7000 Coffee Maker, is this one of the best brands?

Okay, grind and brew is a bad do! If either portion of the brewer goes down, then you have to replace the whole enchilada. I recommend ... See More
does any coffee maker brew HOT coffee?
I've had walmart coffee makers blahh. We now have a Jura automatic one cup grind and brew ($2,300) which makes good coffee but its not that hot plus I can't stand that I have to wait to make my coffee until my daughter wakes up because its so loud when it grinds and brews. So we are getting rid of that and going back to a regular drip maker. Any suggestions on what brews a good cup of coffee thats HOT and looks decent. Price doesn't matter.

There are so many brands out there. Are beans just beans or are there rules of thumbs when choosing them?

Starbucks coffee VS home brew coffee?
I usually drink the mild house coffee at Starbucks and I like the taste and texture of their coffee. When I try to make it at home with my $150 grind and brew coffee maker......I can never achieve that same Texture and taste. The best I can do is achieve the same coffee texture as the local 7-eleven. What's the secret to making coffee like starbucks? I'm just asking for their regular coffee and not anything special like their carmel macchiato. I also use fresh whole beans and purified water when I brew. Thanks in advance.
Starbuck may taste better but is costs a hell of a lot more See More
