its dust and germs
It's from the water. Don't worry about it. That happens from the very hot water. Sometimes it happens when you boil water in a pan or coffee pot.
Probably Calcium deposits... Usually happens when people have hard water. Check a Restaurant Supply store for a coffee pot cleanser. White Vinegar will also help dissolve the residue.
No it's not dangerous but get rid of it by soaking the reservoir in very HOT water and White Vinegar and dumping it out. Then using a 1/2 white vinegar & 1/2 cold water solution, run it through the machine until it clears then put clear water through a few times. Those are probably just old water deposits from hard water that can turn to lime.
likely lime (ie calcium) from "hard" water. Harmless. You may want to run the machine with vinegar (maybe 20%) and water (remaining 80%?), without the coffee. It will stink, but should help with the cleaning.
Not dangerous. Fill up your machine with WHITE VINAGAR only and use it the same way than when you make a n espresso, you'll see all you get rid of. Repeat if necessary. This the best medecine and the least!
