How much coffee do I put in a 60-cup coffee urn/percolator?
At work we have two 60-cup percolators for coffee and I need to know how much coffee to put in each. Thanks.
Sorry I did mean grounds.

60 cups

if you mean GROUNDs, its generally a tablespoon per cup, so 60tablespooons, or about 4 cups
Start with one tablespoon per cup but only make 10 cups using 10 tablespoons for the first pot to be sure that is how YOU like it. Add more or less after that.
So you don't have to measure out one tablespoon at a time (you'll hate it if you lose count): Every 20 cups need 1-1/4 cups of coffee grounds, so 60 cups will need 3-3/4 cups.
The easy answer for most home coffee brewing is 2 Tbs. per 6 oz of water. A standard coffee measure should be 2 Tbs (1/8 cup) . Be warned some coffee measures deviate from the 2 Tbs. standard. Some are even as small as 1 Tbs.

Thus, 2 tablespoons multiplied by 60 cups is equal to

=120 tablespoons or 60 oz of coffee or 1700971.3875 ml.
